Hotlist
A hotlist (also known as bookmark) is a feature provided by many
Web browsers to allow a user to collect and index URLs and Web page
titles. Users can easily add or delete items from their browser's hotlist,
and later jump to a Web page listed in their hotlist without having to
type in the URL or re-navigate through the Web. Some Web browsers permit
elaborate organization, indexing, and editing of hotlists.
The term hotlist has also recently been used out on the Web to include an
itemized listing of hot places on the Web. In this use of the term,
hotlists are located on the Web in HTML format for others to view and
enjoy. Using YAHOO as the search engine, and using the keyword
"hotlist&quo;, will produce many instances of individual
user's hotlists.
